Matz decided to name his programming language Ruby, other options were coral / tish. The lesson was to pick a nice name for a programming language because it determines the destiny of the language. He continued to solo-develop until the alpha release. He got feedback from people. The lesson was to share the language with people and include feedback on it. 1995-12 he released Ruby, the only tool he used to communicate with other programmers was email. He got emails like “It didn’t work and the patch fixes it” or “It doesn’t work on my computer” and these communications became a huge community. After that, he and the early adopters started to share their love for ruby and spread motivation to use ruby.
2000-10 First Ruby book in English was published by Dave Thomas and Andy Hunt and it became a turning point to spread ruby to the world. In 2001-9 Matz was inv
