I’ve made some progress with Folks 👀

ghostty.org is genuinely the best and the fastest terminal emulator that had been built for modern systems so far, i’ve been using it for a while now as a default on a couple of my dev machines

I've open-sourced the repo for Folks, basic functionality of posting, following, and authentication works. I'm going to have a little break and then continue working on it in a couple of hours. The design is very much a placeholder. https://github.com/folkscommunity/folks

I managed to get replies working, love how the community is coming together!

I recently added a multiplayer whiteboard using tldraw and a custom websocket backend for it to sync all users to each other and persist the canvas to a database, it's been super useful for brainstorming things.

Honestly i’ve been really enjoying the challenge of coding a full community platform in a couple of days, haven’t felt that fire in myself in a long while ☺️

I really miss the command navigation from the Bloomberg Terminal since I don't use it much anymore, so i decided to build it into my x app. I want to add some more realtime data feeds and turn this into my own personal Terminal for everything that i might need.

A while back when Allan G's Good News shutdown, i rebuilt it as an exercise, just managed to get it running again 😄
