Haven’t turned this on in a while. Brick by Nik Ramage. One of my all time favorite pieces.

Small tidbit of advice: build case studies as the projects are completed—don’t wait to do it annually, or like me, triennially. That way, the workload is spread out and the content is fresh. I’m losing my mind 😵‍💫

Someone should do a brand profile on Rock Auto (rockauto.com), a family owned, Wisconsin-based online auto parts retailer, who does $40m a year w/ an epic database style website that looks like it’s from 1990. So bad or so good?

Building a custom site with 100% “hand-written” html, css, php, etc. on a nice grid is still where it’s at. Block editors and browser-based site builders are f-in boring. Don’t even get me started on static sites that use JS frameworks. Talk about OD. 🤷‍♂️

Earlier this year, I designed a visual identity for Discern, a new tech startup building products that automate corporate compliance so that businesses can focus on what matters most. Here's one of the logos 🦉

Finally added a project to https://read.cv/rpaonessa. It’s long overdue but figured I’d roll these out slowly as I build the case studies on my new site. First up is Status Audio, who I’ve worked with since 2015 on brand identity, packaging, web, and more.

Finally finished our small kitchen renovation. It took me a year because I had no clue what I was doing—an abrupt realization I had shortly after tearing down the old cabinets. 🤣

Just added a brand identity project for Discern to my read.cv/rpaonessa profile. I plan on rolling these out slowly as I build case studies for my new site.
