I tried making a font a few years ago and gave up after like 2 hours of figuring out how to make a line. I do have it on my bucket list to make a font at some point though, so I will try it again someday

there is an excellent book by Karen Cheng called ‘Designing Type’ that goes into great detail the structure of letterforms.

It was more the software I couldn't understand how to use lol, but thank you I will check that book out
