when i worked at DTS at apple (Developer Technical Services) - the grizzled old timers taught me ONE thing...*never* install updates. sadly my phone was acting up and I had to update but wheewwww  never install updates. wait SIX MONTHS for the update to the update.

sometimes a device is so old it might be the last time it will ever get updated...so I do believe in updating devices that are on the edge of support. like my 5k iMac. my phone is a 13 mini which is no longer being made. sometimes you have to due to the age of the device but 🫠

An Apple update turned my mom's iPad pink so now I live in fear.. my iPad is older and I don't want to replace it anytime soon so I'm just not updating it lol

I replaced my Pixel because it wasn't going to be updated anymore.. Well, that and Pixels were having issues with important things like being able to call 911 lol
