Why Spline? If you're making something that represents 3D, it's usually best to work in the medium itself so you can explore within it's constraints and advantages. (Plus it gave me the chance to do some fun loader animation for the app.)

Rapid concepts explored for the Projector app icon, which led to the final idea in the bottom-right corner. Final icon created directly in Spline.
Spline is so powerful in general, and great for this since you get those additional states—nice work!
