Not an engineer but from working with them, I think it’s because the web part can also be mobile. Lot of mobile apps contain web views in them

It appears that the design engineer role has a significant emphasis on web frontend engineering compared to mobile or other areas. I'm curious to know the reason behind this focus. Can anyone provide some insight?
