So on Feb 29, the largest grocery chain in Sweden couldn't take card payment because it was a leap day. I just don't understand because even JavaScript handles the leap day properly.

There are hyphen, minus, en dash and em dash. There’s also this thing —— used mostly (if not only?) in Mainland Chinese.

I was listening to a podcast and was struck when a guy said there would always be new opportunities in social networking because people would try to find new places to hang out when parties die down and crowds become less cool.

Why does the standard social network timeline look like a new->old column? Twitter arguably invented this and opened their patent. Has anyone experimented other ways to represent a timeline on a social network?

Speaking of new AI tools, I'm not worried in the least. I remember once at a tech meetup in Stockholm. There was this guy who talked about how he had learned a new programming language by reading code generated by GitHub Copilot.
