i’m moving all of my woocommerce sites to Framer in my spare time instead.

Playing with a Framer components for tiny courses, nano products & micro learning.  A cool & colorful way to teach bite sized, bingeable bullet/list style content - especially fun on small devices.  (I would have zero ideas how to do this without a Framer genius to build it)

A super short little interactive checklist with a very basic introduction to the practice of "Metta" or loving kindness meditation.  A tiny practice - that is hugely transformative for cultivating compassion for oneself - and for others (and a huge mental health boost, too)

Reminding myself that people don't really care as much as I think they do - is a great way to push through the perfectionism - and the fear of having one's inner life excavated by the eyes and opinions of imaginary adversaries.

After too many years on Wordpress (which I admit - is easy to hate to love, and love to hate) I'm finally moving all of our courses, content & digital products to Framer style storefronts - and fulfillment tools like Gumroad in 2024.  

Makes me nervous, but exciting too.

I think, after doing far too many 30 minute "crash consults" with real world entrepreneurs who are convinced that writing a book is on their 2024 bingo card - & aren't a big fan, it seems, with taking advice - I'm doing a 180 degree pivot on what i'm writing about as well.

I love the idea that making things better - is often as simple as making better things - together. This can sound trivial - and trite - but at bottom, it's about the collective arc of creativity - and community - in the service (and spirit) of creating a better world for all.

in an era where companies like Google, Facebook and Bed Bath and Beyond steal the best creative talent, we've managed to keep our lean but (always) hungry crew happy with a commitment to personal attention, self care + navigating conflict with belly rubs & tacos.

We've created 50 + tiny courses, products, and micro e-learning content over the last few years, and the single biggest epiphany (especially for authors) is that a conventional "outline" is actually anathema for serializing and scaling a publishing platform.   Try this instead.

a WIP collection of my favorite 100 Framer resources for authors, artists, agencies and entrepreneurs.   These types of mini sites are so easy to build in Framer, too - much better use of my time than watching Dexter re-runs at 3am.

Testing a workflow for newsletter + eCommerce - tiny Carrd site w/buttondown integration + a Framer storefront for digital products.  Mindful of staying with super minimal design this year - which as a color blind person, feels like a great decision - albeit 20 years too late.

The best part about sharing an office with a trio of 14 year olds with no thumbs?  

The conversations are full of empathy, understanding & the sort of genuine eye contact you never got in the fancy studio downtown.  

PS - Poop, treats and squirrels are under-rated convo, too

Tiny books that make a meaningful impact.

Putting together a book featuring a fun list of bad excuses good authors make about why they aren't finished writing the book that they've always wanted to publish.  If you've got a big excuse, a bad reason or a ridiculous rationalization, I'd love to include in the book!

While having no idea  how this got archived as an IG profile "highlight" from 2021, it does remind me why  blocking my mom on all social media  was a tough love, but healthy decision that continues to serve us well  

I'd also like to point out that podia is still awesome

One of the important lessons we all learn managing a small team of creatives - especially those of us having wonky work life balance issues - is learning to take subtle cues from your crew.  They often know better than we do, when it's time to call it a day & just chill.

A contrarian point of view can be super powerful for tiny books (and mini courses) for business.  (and a great way to find your people, too)

Explain it to me like I'm 5 - a great Template /heuristic writing for business - where the simplicity of your style is actually a feature - not a bug - in the book.  

Great for entrepreneurs who don't think of ourselves as "authors" but have much to offer/teach others.

A new tiny course on our community with 11 lessons I've learned while building an online course learning community (often covering topics I'm just starting to learn myself)  I love the idea of "beginners mind" applied to entrepreneurship - & documenting learning new things.

Experimenting with @Framer for tiny micro courses as an alternative to more expensive LMS platforms we use now - such a fun and fresh way of delivering mini morsels of educational content in an interactive way.  

(still a WIP - but getting there - "DropZ" template is the magic)
