The absolute best design advice I can give is very simple…

Make one ☝️ cool thing, every day if possible, as regularly as you can.

It doesn’t have to be for work, it could be a sandwich, or the way you arrange the vinyl records — just as long as you’re proud of it.

That’s it.

Having some fun generating AI images filtered through high-contrast patterns using Stable Diffusion's ControlNet. It allowed me to continue exploring a world where the Threads.com logo can be seen as the backdrop of the modern hybrid workplace.

Did I need to spend a few hours rebuilding this page into a component so the pricing can animate throughout? No.

Is it worth it? Yes.

Got a new chair in the office and Cinnabon immediately claimed it as a new bed 🤦🏻‍♂️

Back in 2022, I was teaching myself 3D, so I created a rough Figma-to-Blender workflow with the goal of taking product UI and animating it for our brand & marketing work.

Here's a proof of concept that shows the threads.com composer doing a backflip.

I had this meandering thought that a Community is a bit like a constellation — a cluster of stars (people proficient at a thing) — and that is why you can look to those stars for guidance. 

Anyway, I thought this community might appreciate the shooting stars 🌠

Half the fun of developing this mini-game was encountering all of the bugs... and choosing to ignore them as part of *the challenge* 🤭
