Looking for part-time / contract / fractional product management gigs over the next few months. I specialise in design-focused PM (as an ex designer), early stage startups, B2C health-care and B2B SaaS. I know freelance PD is a thing, but anyone would consider it for PMs?

I don't know if you prefer to be a solopreneur, but there is a trend of monthly design agency subscriptions slowly appearing (which means working on different projects). You could try to find them and reflect if you see yourself going in that way :)

These are cool! I'm actually freelancing for one right now as well. I was hoping to do one with product but it's a bit harder to define.

I'm curious, what do you have in mind for this idea? Oh, and the co-founder of these agencies above made a simple tweet about productizing your services like he did. Here: x.com/_hunterhammonds/…

But yeah, I think the most difficult part is to define your niche and stick to it for a while. That's why people say to either niche on what you love or where you already have work experience.

So many nuggets of wisdom!! Thanks for sharing. :) My specialisation was actually going to be around being the first PM of a startup and helping them grow (up to Series C) having just done it before a couple of times.

I have doubts whether doing this as a fractional PM would be effective and client-fit would be really important. But was keen to give it a shot!

I believe you could help a lot of early-stage startups, maybe you could even find yourself working in the UX Strategy too :) + I think the best way to make this a market fit is to build awareness about why it's important and how you've impacted other companies.
