Setting off for Washington early next year. Any recommendations on parts of the state? Want something closer to nature but reasonably close to a large city.

I moved here a little before pandemic and honestly you have access to nature everywhere. If you are wanting to be in a suburb with direct access to the city, transportation is decent here. I have folks in Burien closer to the airport and that still seems affordable.

even if you decide tacoma, you can take a train to seattle in about an hour :)

I’ve visited, but I live downtown — no clue about either! Just that you can move around but Washington is a big state so definitely do some resesrch.

I’m down to do a google meet with you if you want to ask a bunch of questions. I moved from PA 👉 WA. I cannot give you info about the different areas but I can talk about the city and using public transport (no car). The biggest thing is understanding your budget.
