new openai.com feels like a huge shift; from authoritative, future-forward research center to productized, SaaS-flavored… what do we think chat? do we like old or new?
I really loved the old, but don't hate the new. I wish they kept SOME of the researchy-focused design in this new direction than going full SaaS, but I can understand why they went this direction.
same, the previous vibe was gorgeous and I was a big fan of Area 17's work on the brand—but with the massive investments mounting, there's been increasing pressure on go-to-market, and the pivot in brand messaging makes sense
