Would this be possible to prototype in Play, @fsanchez ? I need to get round to trying it out again.

Haha so….i saw this video this morning and actually prototyped it with Play. You will be able once we release Gyro next week. I might add it to our learn section.

Nice! Also I wonder about having a tap and hold on the screen as an option, as well as the ‘squeeze’ / press of physical buttons.

Absolutely! That is of course much more practical than adding a physical button. The original context was an attempt to also evolve hardware interactions.

This is so good. What’s the context?

Thank you! A small experiment back when I was at Sony. Pinch to zoom is not accessible to people without the use of both hands and finger dexterity. I wanted to find a solution to manipulating images and maps with one hand. Made in AE but there is also a prototype somewhere.

Well done, really innovative, but what's the concept behind this, does it means it would work with haptics or what tech concept would bring it to life, also, does it means, it would only work with this device alone?

It was a concept for a hardware + software combo that could be powered by senosors like accelerometer and gyroscope.

I wonder how you set the default origin. Is there a button you press to go into this pan/zoom mode?

The original idea was to have buttons on the sides of the device. It also can be a UI element on screen of course.
