I caught the last bit of foliage this weekend in the Adirondacks, upstate NY. Getting to do some trail running was great and I was fortunate to mostly have blue trail blazes — yellow and red would’ve been close to impossible to see.

Good morning! I had some minor regrets about scheduling my PT for 7 am and then getting a workshop invite with some EU-based coworkers for 8–10 am BUT both things were great and while I feel like I’ve been just runningn around, it’s so nice to feel accomplished way before lunch.

8 years at Reaktor today, celebrating with some sticky notes, espresso and cop donuts. ✨

I’ll be in Barcelona for a couple of days. Any tips apart from Gaudí architecture and Míro Foundation?

Three coexisting emotions from yesterday:
- The worry that I’ll find myself from the hills of Mount Stupid of the Dunning-Kruger chart
- The comfort of my imposter syndrome keeping me from going there
- The mix of discomfort and pretentiousness in talking about either

Had a cup of pretty funky morning coffee today from UK based Assembly, a Peruvian natural processed Caturra. My coworker picked up the beans from drip coffee makers, easily my favorite coffee shop in NYC.

I had an idea for a product a few days ago. I did some quick research, but couldn’t find anything like it. 

Yesterday I went to a friend’s birthday and talked about the idea. The friend told me they built something similar and had it running for a few years with users and all.

I'm struggling to find words for a skill. Help me out, please!

What would you call it when a designer has a really thorough understanding of how their design is built and is therefore able to create components that make sense, the logic behind them, structuring of files etc.?

Dear hivemind, any tips on a good to-go coffee cup? Kinto tumblers would be perfect but I’m looking for smaller (<300ml/12oz).

I’ve had keepcups before but the silicon lid will eventually get too loose and then all you’ve got is coffee in your pocket/bag.

I spent the past couple of hours facilitating a post-mortem for one of our teams and was so distracted by the crazy smoke. This would normally be a view of Hudson Yards.

That strange sensation of spending the whole day inside the office with AC set to too cold, then entering the hot and humid New York City summer, still feeling chilly for the first five minutes. It makes the outside world feel like a simulation, like the heat isn’t real.
