Feeling grateful that I have opportunities to test my designs with people with disabilities on fable. I’ve learned so much about the different ways we use technology in the past two weeks just prepping material and conducting usability sessions.

I really like how VS code previews the css selectors you write on hover - Helps me double check when I'm trying to target a small thing

Hey all, I wanted to share a very bittersweet update here before we shared it anywhere else. First, the hard part — we’ve made the difficult decision to wind down Read.cv and Posts starting this month.

It’s now cold enough to wear these earmuffs and they give me so much life 🥰

very rusty on my vectors, but penpot is not bad. trying very hard to resist the urge to jump back into figma 😆

Finally put up some Ikea shelves last week that I’ve had sitting in the closet for 2 years and it’s made my space feel so much homier. Trying to practice doing things more vs. just thinking about doing it.

TIL “DoubleTap” was already available on Series 8 and Ultra under Accessibility > AssistiveTouch > Hand Gestures. Don’t know how I feel about Apple repackaging features to seem like they’re brand new, but nice to have A11y take the big stage and gets us used to spatial computing?

TIL WCAG 3.0 (still years away) may have a bronze silver gold rating system instead of the A, AA, AAA in 2.X. Instead of a straight pass/fail, products will receive a total score instead. (Eg. Text 4.1:1 contrast is scored higher than 3:1 - with 4.5:1 being a perfect score)

I don't know why it took me so long to discover the paint bucket tool in figma - which is a dupe for what i would use illustrator's shape building tool for (cleaning up my vectors!!)

Making reels and hearing my own voice still makes me squirm.

Lately, I’ve been practicing letting go of expectations and focusing on entering a flow state. It’s been helping me make work I’m happier with and experiment with things and try new styles ✨
