for all interested, many ppl pointed to Adobe’s InDesign 🥲 as the best tool for book organization / sequencing

I used indesign - it wasn’t perfect but worked. I really wish there was a plug-in for the text so I could edit it as the layout came together. For the actual writing I’ve come to love Scrivener. It’s an app preferred by writers/ screenwriters and has a one time fee of $90

You can embed a DOC/TXT/RTF file into indesign so the text flows between multiple text boxes and pages etc. Then when you update the doc, indesign updates as well

There isn’t anything better than InDesign out there. Affinity Publisher is cheaper but it lacks the resources/community support to do all the things (just checked and it can epub)If you end up doing PDF I have a free guide for Accessibility in PDFs.

Frank Chimero’s book shapeofdesignbook.com as a web experience but the content has similar vibes to Orion Carloto’s Film for her Film for Her a.co/d/fNMUGsK

I haven’t done this since epub came out (many years ago) but expect things are easier/more automated with fewer hoops to jump through.
