Hm, you could use Calendly as it is a scheduling tool! Clients can see your available days, the days you don't work, and the days booked + it's free

Oh god wait, did you mean like an automation tool to notify clients about your availability?

I suppose somewhere in the middle! I’d like to visually communicate my hours per week available to some newer & shorter contract clients. I.e. say I have 20 hours July 1-14, 10 hours July 14-30. It can be weekly or monthly.

Hm... I think that's hard to find, but the @taurean suggestion seems to fit better than Calendly then! As for the alert, you will probably have to do it manually as the tool doesn't work with Zapier for example, unfortunately :(

I dont bill hourly, just project based or retainer. So I dont want people booking me as if I'm a doordash order. I'll send a cal.com link to kick off and based on what they ask for, requirements, etc. I will send them a very short proposal outlining my availability, timeline, etc

Do you use a tool to communicate availability to new retainer clients? More so for scheduling start/end rather than setting up a meeting.

Just email! My retainers are usually paid monthly w/ a weekly call. I'll send a very short proposal (incl. start/end dates, schedule for meetings, price, and scope of work). If accepted, I send a proper contract/work agreement, we both sign, and then work begins.
