Out of curiosity when you are designing tables on Figma do you design them by rows or columns?

Interesting, I also typically create the cells first I do table cells and table heading cells. But then I organize the table's content by columns as I find it simplifies content management

I design them by cells and then design by rows. I might do a Header Cell, Body Cell, and Totals or Bottom Cell depending on the requirements.

Row 1 = Column 1, Column 2, Etc.
Row 2= Column 1, Column 2, Etc.

Most times I set columns to fill container, but often make the first and last column a fixed width. For things like thumbnail/title/description or a more button.
