What's an example of a "wind up" ui? I'm trying to recreate advancing film or "winding up" film on a camera but I can't think of any examples of this on mobile devices?

Have you looked at the Playdate catalogue? There’s a crank on the device and plenty of the games have a wind up / down requirement. I can try to find a specific example a little later!
