I'm in the same boat, but what are seeking to practice exactly? Is it information architecture? Exploring different styles? Designing innovative ideas?

I just want to practice design thinking, sure I could crank out a ton of things but I would like for my reps to have some type of substance. I also could be way off the mark here

Recently I've started redesigning the apps from my country that feel very clunky to me.

i'd argue this isn't much better than daily ui exercises. make something new, don't just redo what's already there.

I do try to do this, outside of digital also. I need to do a better job of getting my thoughts onto paper and building on them.

Oh, if you can work in industrial design projects, you can even find problems in your own daily life. I've watched this video about a product development process and it might be very helpful for this particular idea: youtu.be/5RJGSGTkpt0?si…

Although I think this is a fantastic way to practice, it's not that simple to find problems, to do it every day (probably take a week), and when you find them, it might not be solved through a digital product. How would you address these problems?
