Goodreads is still providing the worst experience when it comes to book tracking. Oku and Literal tried to create the modern Goodreads alternative users were hoping for. But are they still active?

I’m a user too! It’s great. Wish the iOS app was snappier, feels like a mobile website, but overall it’s really great.

and they got a plugin so you can put it on your website and show people all the cool stuff you've been learning

not really, it was the first book logging app i ever used so i just stick with it cuz it was so simple

Any recs on book trackers? Looking for an app with basic functionality, simple UX/aesthetics, and social features.

I use Literal but don’t really use the social features much apart from seeing what others are reading and getting my recommendations from there.

If you need only a tracker Bookshelf is great on iOS.

Amazing. I appreciate that you reviewed the two apps that were recommended in this thread! Saves me a little bit of trouble.

I primarily use Storygraph (been using it since it was in alpha!) and I’ve been using it a lot more consistently since I downloaded the iOS app. Also I know the developer/founder and she’s an amazing person who genuinely adores books, so I want to support her work 🖤📚
