Friends of mine have discovered that many of the salary ranges don’t accurately represent the true range. They tend to be more flexible with the right candidates.

I’ve found them to be misleading because there’s a difference between an internal salary band based on leveling vs what they’re actually willing to pay someone.. For example: Band says 100k to 150k but they only hire up to 130k (midpoint)

I'm guessing not because iirc those laws are pretty vague? So you have companies like Netflix posting salaries that are like 120k to 500k lol

Yeah. I’ve seen Netflix ranges 120k to 950k which is hilarious.
