Designers who have amazing sites, personal designs, and market themselves well but show dog**** company work because the non-designers in those companies clearly prevailed in their thinking. It’s worse when a companies primary user is creative.

Build for users, not investors.

It’s like a magic trick…people are like “wow” but being the magician you know how it was done.

What’s the go-to stack nowadays for MVPs? I would like to pursue lesser known apps for outreach, data capture, emails, polling, presentation software, etc.

Did you know…(just found out myself)

I was being paid from invested money that was for one company whilst being told to build product for another company. The company failed and something tells me the investors don’t know.

Apparently I have to be media trained before I talk to journalists. Is that them saying I need to learn how to obscure the truth?

sometimes i feel as though the people looking for work in tech should all come together and build something of our own…all take equal equity, all volunteer our time, all work towards a mission improving our soft and hard skills as we go.

i wasn’t paid for work i did as a co-founder, so i was given 8 points of the company. i was fine with this.

now that i’m leaving the company they’re making me relinquish my 8 points, which i earned, for co-founding, and putting in years worth of work.

is this normal?

A design subscription studio but a twist:

Only have three clients at a time
Only work on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
Client owns one of those days every week
Client gets a total of 32-40 hours per month
