This was exactly the article I was looking for. I’m working on a philanthropic project and currently pin-balling through cycles of feedback trying to zero in on the right palette for branding and interactive needs. I’m looking forward to your next post on color ramps 👌🏾.

So glad it’s helpful! I already have something drafted so I should have it done in the next few days.

My life became so much easier when I understood how to use HSL/HSB haha I think your article is valuable for anyone! I always thought about adding colors seen by people with color blindness. Many times, the colors used in products are terrible for legibility for those people.

”I often hear brand designers say that designing for accessibility holds them back creatively. This usually signals to me that a designer is operating at a junior level and doesn’t yet understand the business impact of their design decisions.” LOVE IT (and agree)
