Has anyone purchased any courses or services recently for Black Friday? I’m thinking about subscribing to designcode.io so that I can learn Swift UI. I think that mixed with the Play design app might be the move.

I understand companies cannot respond to everyone that applied to a position, but I feel like if you e made it to the final round of interviews and they had you do something like a white boarding test or design challenge, the least they can do is give you a rejection email.

As a UX designer, I’d say 90% of the problems I’ve had to design for were information architecture related.

Feature to add more control, transparency, and sell your excess energy back to the grid.

I design in such niche fields that I often times feel like I’m in a silo and it adds to my imposter syndrome. Examples being designing for cell therapy manufacturing, clinical trials for oncology, ADA banking compliance, etc. Hard to find examples when I’m working on a problem.

I received two phone calls last week an hour apart.

First one was a rejection for a job I had four interview rounds with. While thanking them, they hung up on me mid sentence.

The second call came from Apple letting me know I got the job. 

Rollercoaster of emotions.

Update. I’ll be joining Tesla as a UX designer.
