I design in such niche fields that I often times feel like I’m in a silo and it adds to my imposter syndrome. Examples being designing for cell therapy manufacturing, clinical trials for oncology, ADA banking compliance, etc. Hard to find examples when I’m working on a problem.

There’s prob a lot of complex systems out there that are lateral to what your working on

Seems like you can brand yourself in whatever category you like among those! Definitely a strength when clients refer you to other clients, but can take some time.

Maybe write a task focused prompt that doesn’t need the understanding of all? Designers love to get immersed in new stuff. I worked on money advisor tech for topics like frontier paths, multi-year tax transitions, and tax loss harvesting and got good feedback by going myopic.
