All I wanted from the Apple Event was adding USB-C to the Magic Trackpad and Keyboard.

Mechanical keyboards look pretty cool but the Touch ID integration of the Magic Keyboard is too good to give up. Add in how quiet it is and the slim form factor, I don't see the benefit of mechanical keyboards aside from their "cool factor". What am I missing?

Things I want from the iPad Apple Event
1. Remove Face ID from the iPad. On the iPhone it’s really good. On the iPad it’s really bad.
2. Remove the stupid Apple Pencil USB-C. The first Apple Pencil was unfinished. The second Apple Pencil is perfect.

For years people conspired that iPhones didn’t last long to force people to buy another one.

The news of Foursquare shutting down makes me sad which makes me a tech boomer. 4SQ has been on my home screen for well over a decade.

My HomePod bricked after 5 years.
TV speakers are horrendous so I tried AirPods Pro with Apple TV. Such an obvious win in hindsight. Just a bit strange sitting at home, especially with someone else, with headphones on.
Sound is A+ though.

Thought Dyson cordless would be it. Turns out the warranty is shit (2 year) and everyone says theirs died before 3 years.
Then I learn corded vacuums still have vastly better suction.

The iPhone 16 non-Pro model seems like a great value. It got most of the Pro features from last year and Camera Control (dedicated shutter button) which is the highlight of the Pro model this year. I would predict this will outsell the Pro model

I predicted the iOS 16 press and hold the Lock Screen to customize the Home Screen interaction would be frequently done accidentally.

It seems I was right and it looks like this double tap the Home Bar to type to Siri is one more.
