There are so many variants of bike handlebars. Do you know why this one is vertical? Nice photos, by the way!

These bars are specifically TT/triathlon. Mine have a 15deg tilt. It is adapted from the more extreme "praying mantis" position, which shows significant aerodynamic gains for the vast majority of people with a 10-15deg tilt of the extensions (vs straight).

Was it hard to get used to it? I think I would be afraid of destabilizing myself and falling 😅

No not at all, tt/tri position is very comfortable and stable. Obviously not as much as road bike position but nothing to be concerned about!

Who helped bring the idea to life? Curious on the process from design to final product.

I printed this one with Zoot (a triathlon and running brand). Many companies offer custom printing, I’ve used a few over the years. They provide Illustrator templates of their garments and then you basically just go nuts!
