When it was AngelList I was able to connect with startups through it, though I don't think I've gotten a job specifically using the platform.. But it didn't affect the interview process, it was more for that initial application/getting in contact with someone

Honestly it feels a little deserted these days compared to other platforms out there.. I haven't been utilizing it as much because I would see older postings there

could you share other platforms please? I was a student back in the AngelList days and I agree Wellfound is way less interesting

Honestly Linkedin is still #1 even though I hate it half the time lol Otta is a newer one that seems to post more relevant jobs fairly frequently.. I haven't applied using the platform which is an option, I use it mainly for sourcing + tracking

I used it maybe 5 years ago when it was AngelList. I remember it being mostly startups(which was what I was looking for). Had luck with it back then! Friends of mine have used it recently and had luck but can’t speak to it personally.

i applied for some positions and got a few interviews about a year ago. it all went well, the people were nice but i didn't get any job, just some freelance gigs. there are mostly startups so it's quite different from linkedin environment

I got a job from the wellfound, and had a few interviews with other start ups prior to that job. Interview process is going to vary from company to company and not be platform specific. Its a lot of pie-in-the-sky, broke companies, so expect some wack comp offers
