Hmmm. I hope not and I don’t think so. I think they are realising they need a seat at the “easy-does-it” table for new comers. I think the UI refresh had something to do with this as well.

Interesting to think about who Figma is actually targeting with the new Figma slides and AI features. Are they slowly trying to appeal to the "masses" and eventually compete with tools like Canva?
