Assuming and stereotyping are dangerous thinking traps to designers. “You are from Russia and you don’t drink vodka?” “It’s made-in-China, how good can you expect it to be?” We suppose to get wiser as we grow—so constantly remind ourselves, don’t fall into these traps.

The feeling when a designer on your team presents their design to a big group of stakeholders, and just hits it OUT OF THE PARK! 🥹♥️

Agree with both of you. I also like how they hide follower count. More about engaging with others than building status.

really hard to be patient with teams sometimes 1. Well, we can ship the bastardized version of this incrementally learning on unstable foundations 2. We can still ship incrementally but more structured beautiful work *narrator* they pick #1

My kindle is over ten years old and still feels as useful as the day I bought it. I can’t think of another consumer technology that has aged this well. Talk about perfectly meeting user needs.

In your design, pay attention to the words that are important, the ones that should stand out, the ones that shouldn't scare or confuse the user. If a research report is available, look for the words used by the users and preferably use those.👂

Practice. I took several courses but the most impactful was the one which forced me to write (no editing) for an hour for a month. Changed my life.

Leads & Managers, REALLY tell your new designers the importance of the projects they are going to work on. Who wouldn’t love to know the impact they are going to have with their first project?!
