whoa, that's great! and that's coming from someone who drinks somewhat regularly. i enjoy alcohol but acknowledge it's poison and there's not really anything positive to it. what moved you to quit? depending who you are, must be difficult to do that in a place like germany 😅

Well done! Moved to Germany almost two years ago, and that triggered bad drinking habits. So cut down aggressively and I’m now around 8-10units per month, aiming for 4 per month.
Bravo! It takes great deal of determination to face the criticism on “not being the same as others (to drink alcohol as normal)” than just being physically disconnected from alcoholism.
Congrats! I stopped about 5.5 years ago, would definitely say getting over the 1 year mark is the hardest! For me I found putting in perspective the "time I saved by not drinking" and finding other hobbies to spend that time on instead really kept me motivated.
