I’m a lot more bullish than many designers and artists with regard to AI (with the exception of those who are actively evangelizing), but I think we’re starting to see a quality wall that we won’t get over for decades. I think the time of rapid quality jumps is over.

... getting sold on the future of AI feels like the height of crypto. I don't think AI is the same kind of grift as crypto, but there's an audience overlap. Energy use/cost, hallucination, and context window seem like possibly impossible problems. Some might get solved but idk…

I think we’re at the early stages of this second-wave of AI/ML. Ninety percent of companies will fail. A lot of companies are focused on quick GTM strategies to enter in the space versus quality implementation. I think we’re just scratching the surface of the current tech.
