What do you do when you explain to a client that the way you placed some extra links in a nav is better for websites interface than creating a whole new page just for those two extra links because that’s what they want?

The navigation isn’t crowded, it’s just two extra links that they want on a page with an image and a button. It doesn’t make sense to me at all when I added the links to a dropdown with the nav bar

The best analogy I’ve made was telling them clicks are like doors to get to a destination. Less doors = happier journey. It actually worked 🤣

Is their concern that the navigation is too crowded? A compromise that still fits with your POV is having some kind of dropdown menu, that way you avoid having to go to an entire other page

Highlight the importance of info architecture, findability (minimizing user frustration), and reducing the amount of clicks/effort required to access them.
