How long the anxiety of not having something to check all the time lasted you? Because I leave my phone yesterday for like 2hs at a repair service to clean up speaker and charger port and feel like 💩 and I realized I don't like the idea of having this dependency/urgency.
I think only in the very first few days, let's be honest there are many replies or the news you can "wait", if it's really an emergency, just take a call, it works for me, and thx my friend and family for respecting my choice.
well exactly that, in those 2hrs I only had a message from someone offering me a new food catering service.
Right? Ofc no need to instant do the change to dumbphone, you can start from organize your phone notification, your layout to make it less distract, I feel modern app and phone these day they build to make you addict.
But track back to the root is to think yourself what you need the most first 😉
Not totally removing, but more like using it with awareness 🤓 So good, I found myself pay more attention surrounded me, willing to talk & listen more, and spending more time offline, writing notes on the notebook etc etc, more like a slow living.
I've been wanting to try the Light Phone for awhile now. How do you like it overall?
They might have a LP3 soon, since LP2 it’s been awhile, they need to upgrade their hardware meanwhile to fit the law (usb-c) sort of things.
I really love the idea of unplugging and not depending so much on my mobile device. I might end up waiting to see if they release the LP3 to have fresh hardware. :) Really appreciate you for sharing your take on this!
Taking the first step can be tough, but I think there shouldn't be any pressure doing the pivot. The first few weeks can be challenging, but with some workouts it’s getting better :)
