Hey y’all! Can we get an #introductions thread going? (Also, search doesn’t work for posts so I couldn’t scroll far back to see if any was created) There’s many new and familiar faces, and it’s cool to see so many great types of designers all together. Share some stuff!

Hi, everyone! 👋 I’m Joey, and I live in Columbus, Ohio, with my wife Kristen and our dog Ellie! I’m over at Webflow, working on our team’s design system, and enjoy teaching others about Figma. I’ve got a love for biking, sustainability, and connecting with others within design!

Hey @joeyabanks what a nice photo. May I ask you via which platform you teach figma?

I’m using Maven for the course, and regular old Zoom for 1:1s!

Awesome, thank you very much. Looking forward to book one of your sessions some time. I am also thinking of the design system audit for teams, as we struggle to buy in budget for this initiative within the company. Is this also something you go through in the session?

I’d certainly love to help, but I’d also first recommend taking a look at @danmall’s fantastic Design Systems Buy-In Deck – danmallteaches.gumroad.com/l/design-syste…

Design Systems Buy-In Deck

Do you just know that a design system is valuable but can’t quite find the words to articulate it? Here’s a presentation deck that we’ve used many times to convince teams and executives that a design systems is worthy investment for most organizations managing multiple digital products. Perfect for formats like lunch and learns or internal presentations, use this as a conversation starter toward winning over hearts and minds in your design system journey.
