biggest surprise in this design career pivot is that design is the Wild West sooo many opportunities out there. it's up to you to: know what you want, find high quality opps, and to wield the power of "No" (which I'm now learning 😅)

My advice to junior/mid-level designers is: 1) do your best to find a manager that supports you and 2) don't put any one company on a pedestal because there's no such thing as a "perfect" company/job, esp going by these last couple years

yeah i'm having a really hard time even with what feels like so many opps, tried quality > quality, vice versa, still bleak 😐

:( it sucks bc the more low quality opps you do, the more it sucks your soul/energy lol what's your current approach to choosing opps?
