Tretinoin is too harsh and unnecessary. Try Salicylic acid. You can try face wash like Cerave renewing SA cleanser to start with.

Yes!! I was also going to suggest face wash with salicylic acid. If this is a common situation, you may need to go a step further and use an active serum with glycolic acid. Gentle exfoliation is key :)
