I’d be curious to hear more about your first hand experience building stuff. What are you working on?

But still, stuff that would have taken me weeks to do in my spare time, I get done in minutes to hours. It's wild.

That’s awesome. Do you also consider yourself a developer? Like is Cursor enabling you to do something couldn’t or is it a speed/effort benefit thing?

I'm a hybrid type – designer first, but have been coding for lots of years and have done development professionally. It's a little bit of both – while I'm sure I could get to the same point *eventually*, the speed that Cursor gives me the confidence to actually build stuff.

That said, I'm mostly prompting, let's say 80% prompting and 20% coding. You can easily see how this gets to the point where you're 96% prompting and 4% coding with the rate of change in the field.

I like Cursor, and have been using the Paid plan quite a bit to build a few small projects. I feel like I get 80-90% of the way there and then some hallucination happens and my project breaks. I'm learning that it does better with small tasks and very specific prompting

Yes! I've found pointing it to documentation and a good .cursorrules file to be key.

omg I have never used .cursorrules 😬 ok i might have missed something in the documentation. Thanks for the tip
