When I started in this business, my seniors always said, “Underpromise and overdeliver,” and I thought that was strange. Today, I see these huge corporations overpromising and underdelivering, and I find that strange.

I’m more concerned about the dishonesty of both approaches and the ethical implications.

What’s really strange is that they have reason to believe it’s a viable strategy.
