Less isn’t ‘more’… Less is ‘better’

This term coined by ancient philosophers and also used in design practice by Dieter Rams is one of my favorite laws. It’s a great building block to introduce other laws.
It also holds a statement to (possibly) disagree with — how *much* less, and what does “better” mean? “Less is more” just means “less is good”, which few people actually believe but wordplay makes brains go “huh that sounds smart, smart is good, so ‘less is more’ is true”
