Sometimes you can find a Herman Miller for the low low on fb mkt or Craigslist. I bought my Aeron for $50 this was
I've been away for a bit, busy freelancing, and sitting at my desk for hours has really killed my lower half 😭 Can anyone recommend a comfortable office chair (w/good back support & for people w/long legs) that's under $200? Someday I'll get an herman miller (but not today).
I found my Aeron for $100. And if what you find needs any repairs, remember you can buy replacement parts for reasonable prices.
That is true, haven’t really thought of that! I barely have any free time tho so I’d have to account for how motivated I am to actually replace something lol
I replaced the arms on my Aeron after 6 years of wear. It was a relatively quick process. I get it though. We are in nursery, sick puppy, concerts, and rotating visitor mode. Just fitting some vacuum time in is stressful.
If possible, you should go and try sitting in some at the store before making an online purchase. I use a Steelcase Personality Plus(~$350). Not sure if that’s available where you are.
Ooh that looks like something that would work for me!! Unfortunately it doesn’t seem like they’re available here in the US 😭 but thank you for the rec!
Save the money, get a decent chair and then go get weekly massages and write them off:)
Also just want to add that I have a standing desk but standing hurts after a while and I've also used a stepper but that interferes with my designing abilities especially when being "pixel perfect" matters. I've accepted my fate.
