+1. Mine is just html and css, because I don’t really want to rely on a company/platform for something this “personal”. But then again I always loved building random shit on my website since like 2000 when I had to ftp files to my server sooo that’s just me 🙈

I have a fairly negative opinion of builder services in general because the time you invest in learning their tools, you could learn how to code and not get your knowledge wiped out by a redesign, or price increases, or acquisitions.

Yeah those are some really good points. We actually use squarespace for our company website at work (lol) and the amount of time I spent figuring out the ins and outs of squarespace I could have just built the whole thing from scratch and tbh much better 🙃
