Redid resume in Figma to start learning the tool by creating something and this was a mood.

Yeah it's definitely more so for visual purposes, I still just submit TXT files if I have to apply somewhere that uses Workday or something equally bad :P

What about using something like Google Docs/Microsoft Word? They are more annoying to use as far as moving text around but.. definitely a step up from a .txt file Lol

To give full context - the Figma one is a redo of my InDesign one, and it's only going up to notivan.com. For applications, what I've seen people do is upload a `.txt` equivalent so that everything gets filled in. It's not really used past...adding stuff :)

Ah, I see.. that makes sense! I haven't tried a .txt file to get through Workday applications though.. I've given up on companies that use that tbh lol

+1 the pdfs that Figma spits out may look good but ATS hates ‘em

What do you mean by that?

Basically the text isn't interpretable as text so ATS can't read it.. iirc any text is converted to outlines. I use a Google Doc resume to be on the safe side

Ahhh I see. Thanks for clarification ☺️
