My biggest point of friction when shopping for keyboards is having no idea the difference between switch types. Red, blue, brown, or whatever rainbow of options inherent to the category.

it was hard even before manufacturers other than cherry and gateron became mainstays. *generally* reds are light and linear, browns have a soft tactility, and blues are clicky & loud. anything else probably needs a google haha (or maybe the specs are somewhere else on the page?)

I’m astounded that nobody has thought to display a small caption, or info icon, next to each switch to provide additional context to customers. Or even to organize them into loudest to quietest. It just seems obvious.
