maybe i just have shit self esteem, but i've always found it crazy that some people are so confident in having gotten the job after interviews. like brother bear you're the best but you don't know that; for all you know, they could have interviewed jesus himself.

Nah homie. Personally, I'd rather leave an interview with a confidence high than feel like I did "okay" (or just straight up bad) and let the rejection knock me down even lower. You can be realistic AND confident. Own it. You're in control of interviews more than you think!
yeah totally—i'm slowly getting back to that point. i can be confident and feeling good leaving an interview but i think the unknowns from my side of things makes me temper my expectations for afterwards.
and fr fr on the last point. i'm definitely way more comfortable now than when i was younger in my approach to interviews; like it's me interviewing them as much as it is them to me (lol maybe like 63/37 because i wanna get outta my current job 😅)
