I believe there’s a an “x” on the top left of the screen. Either way it’s awful
I just don't get the difference between these two options - am I losing it? FWIW, every time this happens, I use the third option - force quit the Duolingo app

There isn't. Which is why the only sensible option was to force quit the app.

This IS Duolingo haha. I get this after every lesson now, and it won't take "not interested" for an answer.
I see this for Discord Nitro after every lesson. Like you've explained, claim and redeem seem pretty synonymous with no clarity on the timeframe. I would actually prefer the exact phrases you've used here.
Ah you mean Duolingo Super? I accidentally clicked on yes and had to wait 2 annoying weeks till I can make that ugly gradient owl cry. I had a couple more random shorter trials presented to me later, and I'm still not interested.
This is a great example of failing micro copy. Maybe smth like "Activate now" and "Save in the shop for later" could work
