That's cool. Are you planning on releasing a variable font?

Interface modes can be tricky on typefaces.

Jimmy Lee

I think next time I do this I would like to start with a variable font, for now, this one works for the use cases where it makes sense ✌️

I tend to use variable typefaces if the will be switching between modes on the web. A regular can be too strong on dark mode. So I usually tweak the weight down. Hehe, well, maybe it's because I'm also using solid colors instead of toning down color of secondary text.

You can try a variety of themes here: wireframes.internet.dev/examples/fonts… Its hard to build for every case but in the future we will try to cover more cases 🤝 already a bunch of useful feedback to work with

wireframes.internet.dev ➝ fonts ➝ Server Mono
This single-weight font was released in 2024 by the Internet Development Studio Company. Created by designers Tim Vanhille and Matthieu Salvaggio, with supplemental direction from Jimmy Lee the Internet Development Studio Company community.

This looks awesome! Definitely gonna be using it for my project I'm working on! Just curious, would you be willing to host a font CSS file on the website that we can directly import into our CSS, like how Inter does with rsms.me/inter/inter.css?

Jimmy Lee

Yes! Meanwhile: If you peak through the source code you can use ours in the meantime 🤝 its in globals.scss

I'll open an issue in the repo for it as well

Apologies for the long issue, I tried making it as detailed as possible

Very nice of you 🤝

This looks sick — I have an idea for a terminal-esque sites template that this might be a good fit for. Cool to use for that?

Absolutely cool Andy! I would be honored to see it used there 🤝
