Hey everyone, I've been feeling this growing desire to elevate my craft skills and be able to build my designs. I already have some solid knowledge on design systems and components, also this role of design engineer is getting market attention. ...
I'm thinking about documenting this journey and sharing my learnings. I learn best by doing, so expect condensed lessons with practical insights gained from experimenting with how code can enhance my design solutions.
My ultimate goal is to discover if this design engineer role is a good fit for me and also engage publicly in this challenging path.
Are there anyone here interested in reading any of this? Is there anyone in the same path? I would appreciate any comments or reactions if this resonates with you
While there may or may not be interest initially you should always aim to write or do something that meets your needs. So if you feel like writing something up as you have a desire to do that right now then do it.
Make it available for anyone to stumble across then who knows who you might influence and help on their journey
That's my idea, as this journey will involve self-study. Writing and publishing will get me feedback and help solidify my understanding. I've already started a "writing" tab in profile where I would be sharing this read.cv/robertoerrege/…
Thanks for the encouragement! I'm always looking for new ways to improve. Doing it in public is new for me, but it will help me stay accountable.
yes very much so! I’m leaning into this myself and would love to see how others are approaching the transition
I would like to follow along but I’d also be interested in doing it alongside you!
